Farm
Scene
Mary
used this lovely farm scene toile in the windows of her quilt.
We meandered in the background and helped the scenes to stand
out. The harvest moon adds color that she will repeat with
buttons in the window pane sashing.

Toot!
Toot!
Nelda
will warm the heart of her little friend with this train quilt.
She machine appliquéd the trains around the borders. We used
Stars and Loops in gold thread to give it a festive air.

Delectable
Mountains
Dee
made this lovely quilt for her daughter. It is definitely a
feminine quilt with the pinks and now the Simply Clematis flowers in
deep pink thread. I know she will love it!

|
Jean's
Special Quilt
Jean
spent many hours with all of these different fabrics and little
pieces. We used orchid thread to tie it together since the
border and backing was that color. Feather Meandering added
motion and roundness to the quilt with all its square pieces.

Do
Snowmen Play Checkers?
This
Thimbleberries quilt is a clever mix of square lines and round
snowmen. We put stars in all of the boxes and snow drifts and
snowballs in the borders. More snowmen may appear!

Puzzle
We
used the Puzzle pantograph in turquoise thread on Susan's quilt when
she said it was for a young boy.
|
|
Large
Golden Quilt
Angie
took a class for the basics of this quilt and then kept adding more
squares until she had this large beauty. We used Egyptian Topaz
(gold) thread and Simply Clematis for an all-over look. She
incorporated some of the fabric from the front to add interest to the
back.

Christmas
Joyce
made this scrappy Christmas quilt. We outlined all of the
colored fabric,, did continuous curve in the 16-patch blocks,
meandered in the background, and added holly in the borders for a
final Christmas touch.

|
Texas
Star
This
large beauty (108 X 108") is simple and traditional. The
continuous curve in the star make Joyce's piecing stand out. The
double square feather wreaths nestle nicely in the corners.
Since the fabric has roses, we chose Rambler Rose in white and
then black thread to give interest to the borders.

Girl
Quilt
Doesn't
this look like 1970? Mary made this for her granddaughter.
Her granddaughter helped pick out the fabric. We used large
happy flowers and turquoise thread to make her happy.

|
Small
Jacobean Beauty
Mary
used another panel and made a little different wall hanging.
This time we used larger meandering to make the center and the leaves
pop. the backing fabric is even Jacobean!
|
|
Lovely
Pastel
In
keeping with the pastel colors, Mary chose Sunlight Yellow and Simply
Clematis to finish this quilt and match the buttery yellow backing.
|
|
Carpenter's Star
Mary
made this Christmassy Carpenter's Star. We used dill-colored
thread to emphasize the holly leaves in the panel border. We
also used the pantograph "Chrissy" to add some softness to
the square lines.
|
|
Merry
Christmas
Mary
used wonderful Christmas fabric and a different colorway of the holly
border for this quilt. We repeated the dill thread and this time
used a holly over-all patterns.
