Water
World
Sue
made this quilt for a helpful friend who has fish. Windy
Meandering and turquoise thread added to the look of water.

|
Springy
Quilt
Sue
hit the jackpot with this springy looking quilt. We used Simply
Clematis with white thread to keep it looking fresh and clean.
|

|
Sue's
Beauty
Sue
pieced this beauty. We used Mother Goose colored thread to blend
in easily with the colors. Chrissy is a detailed pantograph that
adds interest and texture to her work.

Christmas
Tree Skirt
Connie
is ready fro Christmas. This square quilt with a star in the
middle will become a Christmas tree skirt when the hole is cut in the
middle. All of the custom quilting was done in Camel thread and
Christmas motifs.

Baskets
This
quilt was made by the owner and employees at the Quilt Basket for a
friend who is leaving~~baskets, of course. She has never done an
appliqué quilt for herself so this will be a prized possession.
Her friends will present this quilt to her at a luncheon in her honor
in June.

Girly
Quilt
Debbie
is redoing her bedroom. This girly quilt will have small heart
buttons and ribbon bows on it when she is finished., so we just
meandered. Her room will truly be "girly."

Churn
Dash
Mary
wanted a simple red and white quilt. This churn dash quilt
featuring the plain red is simple and pretty. The straight lines
of the quilting really kept this simple.

|
Brights
Deborah
had a great time with these circles and the bright fabric. We
kept the motion going with windy meandering in a bright variegated
thread. The pieced back is nearly as interesting as the front.

Mr.
B
Lena appliquéd
this cathedral window quilt (and taught classes in the past) and it
now hanging in her new sewing store. She does beautiful work! We tried to make
the
background stitches different for each color and then give the animals
some stones to walk on. Crosshatching in the borders framed it.

Brooke's
Beauty
Brooke
laughs about finding this fabric in some exotic place and then not
using it for a long time. The color and fabric are lovely
together. the Mother Goose thread and the Windy Meandering (her
new favorite) blend everything together well.

Bologna
Sandwiches
Brooke's
husband promised us bologna sandwiches if we get in trouble with this
one. So far so good! Brooke had fun with this "Snail
Trail" and so did we. The new Fleur-de-Lis pantograph
looks great in the ecru thread.

Soldier
Quilt
Each
member of Colorful Quilters, or small quilting bee, made a block for
this quilt. We were given a piece of blue and a piece of
background fabric. You can see the variety of squares that
resulted. The quilt will go to a Veteran.

Quilt
from a Friend
A
friend donated this quilt top to the Colorful Quilters when she
learned that we were doing charity quilts. The dill thread
blended in well with the batiks and the green background. thank
you, Bonnie!

Shop
Sample
This
batik beauty was made especially to hang in a local quilt shop.
The begonia thread matches the front and back and the "English
Garden" panto really give it zing.
