Lasagna
Evelyn
made this lasagna quilt as a part of the quilting bee's contribution
to wounded soldiers. The pantograph "Fleurs" made this
a cheerful quilt.

Sports
Anyone?
One of
Mary Lou's grandsons gets this great sports quilt. The great
sports panto from Anne Bright's "Boys to Men" emphasizes the
theme.

Yellow
Brick Road
Finally,
a yellow Yellow Brick Road. Marlys chose the Copenhagen Blue to
go with it Simply Clematis gives it a fresh flowery feel.

Roses
This
is Marlys' rose quilt, one of 4 that each of the sisters made.
They are lovely with the camel thread. They will be even more
interesting when they are washed.

N
W Beauty
Joan
pieced and appliquéd this great quilt. it looks like it lives
in Washington state. Windy Meandering with the Sand Dune
variegated thread certainly gives it character. The back holds
interest in itself.

is going to complete this quilt and donate it to the Quilt for a Cause
project with the Tucson Quilters Guild.
|
|
Donation
This
is a second quilt Brooke is donating this fall. It has crazy
quilt blocks with lots of embellishments. They are
modified nine patches. Windy Meandering is her new favorite pantograph
pattern.

Bonnie's
Aquarium
Interlocking
Surf's Up by Dave Hudson makes a perfect pantograph for this clever
water quilt. Each of the featured blocks is fussy-cut to make
this very interesting.

Sue's
Roses
Sue is
one of the sisters who made a rose quilt. It took me a while to
discover that she had used a narrow border to make hers
different. The quilting is a stipple and a wiggle on the inside
and Xs in the inside border.

Miriam's
Colors
Miriam
made this quilt for her granddaughter. The colors are very
vibrant and the brights variegated thread against them and black
fabric are great. Windy Meandering gives the quilt
softness. The binding was made from sections of the bright
fabric and the black.

Pansies
Bonnie
wanted this quilt to look just like the one she had in a
picture. The curves in the petals of the pansies gave them
depth. This small wall hanging with its vibrant colors will wake
up any room.

Rose's
Roses
Rose
is giving this flannel quilt as a thank-you gift. When we were
talking about a quilting pattern she would like , it had to be
roses. Rambler Rose is perfect.
|

Butterflies
Marlys
worked a long time on this large, lovely butterfly quilt. Each
butterfly is hand appliquéd. Each has hand embroidered
antennae. This is truly a lovely quilt that she is going to
enjoy for a long time.

Purple
Yellow Brick Road
Judy's
mother saw the one she made for a friend and wanted a purple
one. Of course, Judy made it! the purple is lovely quilted
with the lilac thread. Chantilly Lace makes it feel like a
"Mom quilt."

|
Color
Bridge
This is Gayle's
first quilt!! She took a Color Bridge class at a local quilt
shop and must have graduated at the top of her class. The
teacher suggested "Chrissy" for the quilting in
Egyptian Topaz thread. It is a winner.
|
|
Roses
Kathey had fun with
this Irish Chain quilt. The custom quilting with continuous
curve and inset roses, plus the variegated thread made it very
pretty. the pieced back made it interesting and
reversible. She is saving it for one of her
granddaughters.

Stack
and Whack
This Stack and
Whack quilt is a beauty. Elvira made some lovely choices with
cutting and piecing. The plain backing was a surprise that
turned out to be a real bonus. Rambler Rose is a nice pantograph
for it.

Stash
Buster
This large quilt
and all of its 5" blocks has great interest because of the
fabrics Marcia used. Chantilly Lace gives it some softness. and
the polyester batting makes it cuddly.

Stars
This lovely, large
quilt lives in North Carolina. Pat did a marvelous job piecing
all of the stars. Her husband got into the act with the cutting
process. The wool batting gives the quilt beautiful drape.
The binding is 3/8" and it finishes it off nicely. The
straight lines and continuous curve in the stars make this a
one-of-a-kind quilt.

Grandson's
Quilt
Ann pieced this
quilt in bright colors with her grandson in mind. She had a
great time fussy-cutting the animals to fit. The sunlight yellow
thread and Stars and loops were just exactly what she had in mind from
the beginning.
|
|
Anne's
Beauty
This is a very
symmetrical three-color quilt. Anne used two flange borders
between the wider borders for a lovely look. Copenhagen blue
thread is exactly the color of the outer border. Simply Clematis
gives it some softness,

X
Marks the Pot
this is the Voyager
Resort raffle quilt for 2006. A friend appliquéd the pot blocks
and the group pieced the top. The four borders add great
interest. Quilted Quail was very happy to fill the 18 empty
blocks with Mexican pots and McCurlee background filler. The
cross hatching ("X" does it!) fills the sashing.
