National
Dog Show
Connie
is taking these throw-sized quilts to a national dog show. She
has been collecting fabric with dogs on it for years just for these
quilts. Most feature a puppy paw prints pantograph from The Pattern Man. Some
have Stars and Loops and one has flowers.
Connie
is going to sell these quilts at a booth. Her company is called
"These Aren't Your Grandma's Quilts." And they
aren't! She likes lots of color and pattern and the paw prints
make them even more exciting.

Feathered
wind Mill
Libby
pieced this 54" X 54" quilt. Yale blue thread and
Simply Clematis brought out the springy colors and accentuated the
pattern.

BOM
This
lovely block of the month quilt came from Debbie's talents. The
custom quilting is designed to emphasize her piecing and make the
colors and designs pop.

Christmas
June
likes the look of stippling. Check out the centers of the log
cabin blocks. You will find pieced blocks besides the pattern
created by the lights and darks.

Block
of the Month
June
pieced this quilt, too, with special centers to the stars. She
simple likes the look of stippling and requests it for all of her
quilts.

Texas
Star
Joyce
pieced this wall hanging to go in her New jersey bedroom. She
used the premarked backing fabric and it gave her crisp, clean
points. Each diamond is stitched in the ditch. the
feathers in the setting pieces give this an elegant look.

Thimbleberries
Sunrise
Joyce
belongs to the local Thimbleberries group. The colors in this
"Sunrise" are very fresh and cheerful. The stitch in
the ditch around the blocks makes them pop. The small borders
have freehand vining leaves and the wide outer border sports waving
leaves.

Quilt
and Pillow Tops
Laurel
pieced, embroidered, and appliquéd this set. Because of all the
stars, "Stars and Loops" was a perfect choice. Red
thread accented the colors both front and back. She is keeping this set for herself!

Barbara's
Beauty
Barbara
pieced this small quilt a wile ago and is now going to get to enjoy
it. It is fresh and springy. The Simply Clematis in white
thread gave it a clean sweet look.

|
The
Gift of the Magi
Barbara
used fusible to appliqué this interesting quilt. All of the
colored figures are "ditched" and the background has
McTavishing. This is a lovely 21" X 56" piece for a
wall or the back of a couch.

Versatile
Barbara!
This
row quilt demonstrates Barbara's versatility. It is almost a
calendar quilt with the clever rows in order of the seasons. She
pieced, appliquéd, embellished, and smiled over this one! We
decided that Interlocking Falling Leaves would show the seasons and
give the quilt a connection.

Grandma's
Rose Garden
Arlene
has done it again!! This quilt is the sample for a pattern sold
by Arlene Wash Designs. It will be available as soon as the
embellishments are complete. We understand that it will be sold
as a whole quilt and the individual blocks will be available as well.
We
always have fun with Arlene's quilts because of the great details she
uses. Notice the fussy-cut rose fabric in the centerlamp.
That lamp will have fringe. Do you see the cute little blue
butterflies? She used black rose fabric in the borders, so we
designed a rose quilting pattern to accent that. Check out the
rick-rack. This is a modern/Victorian quilt!
