Bethlehem Star Kathy
made this lovely, large Bethlehem Star. She asked for continuous
curve, peacock feathers, and feathers. Actually what she said
was that she wanted hers to look just like the one that is hanging in
a local shop; see Gallery in May 2007. Isn't
it interesting to see the pattern on the back from the custom
quilting?

Pillow
Shams
Connie completed
the pillow shams to go with her tablecloth quilts. We used
Simply Clematis in white thread to match. They will be
outstanding because they are a different colorway.

Old Pueblo Quilters Connie
submitted two quilts for the children at Tucson Medical Center.
One is done with "Arrow" and the other
"Cowboy." The children will love them!

Cowboy
Quilt
Shirley
didn't want much quilting on this comforter. It is 50s
reproduction fabric that goes on a bed with a wooden frame.
Doesn't
this take you back?

Connie's
Quilt
Connie
pieced this lap-sized quilt. We used Daisy Meander in Old Rose
thread to continue the old fashioned look.
|
|
Bear
Paws
Sharon
finally gets a quilt for herself. We used ElPasso and Rustana to
continue the southwestern feel from the earth tones.
|
|
Daisies
This
quilt lit up the whole shop with a breath of outdoors. Sharon
made this from the book "Turning Twenty Again" for her
daughter's new house. The combination of all the daisy fabric is
wonderful. We used Daisy Swirl and Egyptian Topaz thread.

Table
Cover
Diane
used lovely fall fabric for this table cover. We used
Interlocking Falling Leaves and Camel thread to create a warm fall
theme.

Noah's
Friends
Brooke
made this charity quilt with the cute Noah's Ark insets. We used
monkeys and leaves to tie it together.
|
|
Grandma's
Quilt
Grandma
could have made this! Brooke pieced the stars so they float
around for a modern look to an old-fashioned quilt. We used Old Rose
to give it a classic look. She used a wide backing fabric that
matched perfectly.

Stars
and Ladders
Larry
seemed to enjoy the secondary pattern created by this quilt
pattern. He wanted to emphasize the ladder effect, ditch the
stars, and them emphasize the blank areas. The Burgundy thread
certainly creates a pattern.

Lynn's
Angel
Lynn
machine appliquéd this angel holding the little lamb. It is a
wall hanging. One of her requests was that the feathers should
look feathery. The angel was to have sunbeams coming
from behind her.
|
|
Round
Robin
Lynn
participated in her bee's round robin. Lynn made the center star
and then each of the bee members added a border or another
detail. She provided some of the fabric and some of the bee
members added some of their own. Lynn wanted it custom quilted
for entry in a quilt show in Texas.
See
what a difference quilting can make!
