Rescue
Quilt
A
German Shepherd rescue group in California collected signatures of
stars who agree with their mission. Someone named Cissy drew the
picture of the dog with crayons. Quilted Quail assembled the
quilt, pieced, and bound it. The quilt will be used as a
fund raiser.

Lasagna
Quilt
Gerry
saw a lasagna quilt made for a charity group and decided she could
make one. She had no other instructions. It came out
great! We gave it a bit of a southwestern flavor with El Passo
but in lilac thread that makes the back look as good as the front.

Mother's
Quilt
Maxine
had this quilt top that her mother had made years ago. She
decided to have it quilted and labeled so her mother could have a
finished project to hand on. It came out so well that Maxine has
another one that she will bring. On these custom quilts the back
is as exciting as the front.

Pat
Finished It
Pat
said she didn't like this quilt when she was working on it and nearly
didn't finish it. It will go to a charity in VA.
Interlocking Surf's Up in bright red thread may have pepped it up a
bit. Some kid will love it!!

Hummingbirds
Miriam
had someone machine appliqué four center blocks for her. She
added all of the colored fabric. She showed it to an artist
friend and now it will become the friend's gift. We used turquoise
thread and a lovely pattern called "Hummingbirds" that
includes butterflies and flowers along with the hummingbirds.
the thread is a bit darker than the backing and it shows up
beautifully.

Baskets
Debbie
is giving these baskets to a friend. It is a wall
hanging. It had an old-fashioned look along with the
modern characters on the baskets and we quilted it to emphasize each
one. If you look carefully you see that each of the
baskets has a seasonal theme as well.

Pineapples
Susie
is entering this quilt in a VA quilt show. She had Quilted Quail
use bright variegated thread to quilt the inner area with Windy
Meandering. Now she will hand quilt the border to emphasize her
very special appliqué.

Susie's
Stars
Susie
made this lovely batik quilt with all the stars as a wedding
present. We used wine-colored thread and Stars and Loops to make
it a lovely gift. I know the bride and groom will love it!
