Monochromatic Cara
and I had such fun over this "Zebra Quilt." HA!
It is lovely with all of its black and white fabric. We used
Celtic Scroll as the quilting pantograph to give it some softness.

Grand
Canyon
Angie made this
Susie Weaver "Arizona Skies" quilt after her trips to the
Grand Canyon. The pieces are all cut from the same piece of
Batik to give the great variety of earth tones. The inside
border represents the water in the Colorado River. This quilt
may go to a publisher as an example of a colorway used in making the
pattern.

Asian Hidden Wells
Diane
used lovely Asian fabric on this Hidden Wells quilt. The gold
colors were everywhere but Camel-colored thread matched
perfectly. We used Chantilly Lace as a quilting pattern. I
was especially impressed at how well she matched the backing at the
seam!

Wine
Country
Diane
used lovely fall colors on this quilt. It called out for
Interlocking Falling Leaves. The latte thread hid the leaves a
bit and let the piecing and colors shine.

Square
and Flat
April
does very precise work. This quilt was very flat and very
square. That makes it so very easy to work with. The royal
blue thread and Windy Meandering just made the quilt flow.

Granddaughter's
Joyce's
granddaughter is interested in gymnastics. All of the cute
gymnastics fabric and fabric with stars led us to Stars and
Loops. She's a Star! Joyce provided variegated blues
thread and it worked in beautifully.

Anniversary
Quilt
This
quilt goes to Marcia's friends who are celebrating a 60th wedding
anniversary. What a lovely gift! Baroque Hearts is the
obvious choice but it doesn't overwhelm the quilt because of the dyed
natural thread. The muslin backing makes the quilting stand out
and the quilt very reversible ~~but who would want to with the lovely
piecing on the front.

Bird
houses
Sue
did a wonderful job with the appliqué on this springy quilt.
All of the houses are different and quilted differently, but the
leaves go throughout.

Gift
for a Son
Bunny
had a great time piecing these blocks. She made the quilt for
her son and he was fascinated when he saw how the pieces went together
to make the patterns different in each block. She decided on
special matching thread and a rose pattern in the border.

Blue
Stack and Whack
Shirley
likes blue. She had fun with this Stack and Whack and the
patterns that cutting and sewing system makes. We used even more
blue in the chambray thread. Baroque Hearts gave it a nice
over-all feeling.

Christmas
Tree
Liz is
giving this cute tree as a Christmas gift, Stars and Loops
emphasized the stars that make up the tree.

Don't
Forget the Stocking!
Diane
used this panel to make a Christmas wall hanging. Santa and the
child are very expressive. We did lots of SID and loops to
make it come to life.

This year
November and December quilts are combined. Jo Lee had minor
surgery and managed to get all of these quilts done before the
deadline. Merry Christmas to all.
