Spring
Fling
May
did a great job with her color selection. The pattern
"Spring Fling" by Nichole Webb adds to the freshness of this
quilt.

|
Card
Trick
May
took a class at a local shop and then pieced this great Card
Trick. Spring Fling gives it a different dimension with burgundy
thread.

Winner!
Third
Place
Champlain
Valley Fair Home Crafts Section
Biggest
Fair of the Year in Vermont
Michelle
and her family moved to Vermont after we quilted her quilt. She
entered it in the Champlain Valley Fair and took Third Place Overall. She
did a beautiful job with these baskets. The clear blues
sprinkled in the reproduction fabrics make up into a lovely
quilt. The feathers in the border add to the look of the early
20th century. The pieced back certainly adds interest.

Geometrics
Mary
chose the colors and piecing especially for a spot on her daughter's
kitchen. The geometric quilting in blue thread makes the quilt
look very much like its model in a magazine.

Trip
around the World
Elaine
made this quilt for a very special granddaughter. We picked the
red thread because we knew it would make her happy. Elaine had
lots and lots of pieces of Hawaiian fabric that she cut to size for
this quilt.

Son's
Design
Elaine
had all of the blocks pieced for this quilt and got stuck. Her
son spent some time turning and positioning them to create this
marvelous layout. We used El Passo to continue its south western
feel.

Wedding
Gift
Cara
pieced this quilt as a wedding gift. It is a block-of-the-month
quilt from a local quilt store. We used Stars and Loops to
continue the theme of the stars. Look closely for the
houses and trees since these aren't just plain stars.

Curved
Piecing
Janet
loves to do curved piecing and always ends up with wonderful
circles. We used Windy Meandering and variegated thread to give
the quilt a fluid look so your eye would travel.
|

|
Orange
Sawtooth
Alisa
made this great orange and black sawtooth quilt that moves. We
used orange thread and Windy Meandering to keep the motion
going. she knew she would finish it when she found the perfect
backing fabric.

Pam's
Bouquet
Pam
did a wonderful job with this understated flower quilt. The
pastel variegated thread and Simply Clematis finished the look.
|
|
Flags
Look
carefully at the "hearts" in the log cabins. They are
fussy-cut flags. Pam did an outstanding job on this patriotic
"Barn Raising" and the Stars and Loops continued the
theme. Look at the great backing fabric, too.

Green
Brick Road
Judy
made her Yellow Brick Road in greens. Baroque hearts made a nice
firm repeating design for this down-to-earth quilt.

Angie's
Pineapple
The
border fabric for Angie's quilt is called "pineapple."
The Rustana colored thread complements it beautifully (after I stopped
hunting for pineapple thread). Angie's curved piecing and color
selection make this a real work of art.

Comcast
Cares
Tim
and his colleagues worked one day in a disadvantaged area. The
company ordered t-shirts and bandanas that we turned into a quilt for
his office wall. Tim came from PA to AZ to pick it up from his
mother-in-law.

Connie's
Charity Quilt
Connie
made this cute train quilt for the Justin Project to go to TMC.
She tries really hard to get quilting ideas for small boy
patients. The gray cloud quilting is supposed to represent the
train's smoke.

Lasagna
#1
Mary
finished this Lasagna Quilt as a part of a Colorful Quilters Bee
project. The Bee members went to tea at a local quilt shop
The shop owner donated fabric for charity quilts. Mary
even used the donated fabric to piece the back to make it interesting.
This will go
to a wounded soldier.
